Payment Policy

Medical services are provided and billed by The Children’s Group PC. Our providers participate in most major health insurance plans and provide a sliding scale fee service for uninsured patients. Please be aware that with any health insurance plans, there may be deductibles and copayments for which you are responsible at the time of your child’s visit.

What if I need to talk to my babies pediatrician when the office is closed?

We have an after hours on call service should you need anything while our office is closed.

Do you have Saturday hours?

Yes, we are open 9am to 11am on Saturdays. And weekdays from 8:30am to 5pm

Insurance & Billing

What insurance plans do you accept?

We accept most major plans in the region, including Absolute Total Care, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicaid, Tricare, United Healthcare, Cigna, Molina, and others. For a comprehensive list, visit our website or call our billing department.

What costs should I expect at the time of service?

Most insurance plans require copayments and deductibles at each visit. If you’re uninsured, we offer a sliding-scale fee. For clarification, contact our billing staff before your visit.

How and when will I receive billing statements?

After insurance processes a claim—typically within 45 to 60 days—you’ll receive a monthly statement. Outstanding balances not settled after three months are referred to in-house collections. Please reach out for payment options.

What billing or insurance information will I receive?

After your insurance has paid, we’ll provide you with a monthly statement of your account. If you have not made any payment arrangements after three months, your account will be put to in-house collections, and you will need to discuss your account with the billing department to resolve the outstanding balance. All copays are expected at the time of service unless you have made other arrangements with someone in billing.

How long will it take to get things settled with the insurance company?

Generally, it takes from 45 to 60 days to obtain payment from an insurance carrier.

I received a notice that my insurance company has paid on my bill, but I don't understand how they calculated their payment amount. Do you know?

We receive an explanation of benefits (EOB) from your insurance company and post the payment according to how your insurance processed the claim. We will gladly answer any questions or explain the processing to you to the best of our ability. We encourage all patients to know their benefits.

How can I contact my child's pediatrician after hours?

We offer an on-call after-hours service—just call the office phone number and you will automatically be forwarded to the on-call service and can leave a message for someone to call you back.

What are your office hours?

We are open Monday–Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Closed on Sundays, New Years day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
